Acer Launches Aspire One Netbook


Netbooks are becoming very popular these days as more and more companies are starting to manufacture them. That’s a very good thing as it will increase healthy competition, decrease the price and give a lot of choice to the consumers. Acer, the third largest PC manufacturer in the world has launched Aspire One - there very first netbook device for the Indian Market.

The Aspire One is a stylish, portable and very sleek device. Design wise, the Aspire One comes across as a unit that appears to be well designed. The Aspire One comes equipped with Intel Atom N270 processor 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM and a choice between Linpus Linux Lite or Windows XP Home edition. It also has a beautiful 8.9-inch backlit LED panel with a resolution of 1024×600. It comes with 120 GB HDD. The base model of Aspire One offers only a 3-cell battery but you can get a 6-cell battery that increases available battery life to 5.5 hours by paying an amount of Rs 1200. It also makes it possible to carry a spare cell hence increasing the battery life by another 5 hours as the battery is user replaceable.It weighs just under 1 Kg.
