Cheap Learning Laptop - Hacao Classmate Laptop
Joining the likes of OLPC and Eee PC, the Hacao Classmate laptop is the new learning laptop that’s as economic as it is educational. The Classmate laptop will offer students customized Linux OS distribution, and it will feature a 900MHz Celeron CPU, 256MB RAM, 1GB of Flash, integrated WiFi and a seven-inch WVGA display. The Classmate laptop is shipping now in Vietnam, selling to schools for a price of $250. Compaq Presario V6700TX Laptop
The new Compaq Presario V6700TX laptop is a great bang for your buck, for everyday work and play. Low-Cost Linux Laptop - Elonex One Laptop
The Elonex One laptop will be soon making its first appearance in classrooms across the pond. The British outfit is set to release the One laptop on February 28. The Linux-based system will reportedly feature 1GB of Flash memory, Wi-Fi, a tough exterior, internal speakers for MP3 enjoyment and a socket for headphones, USB slots and a three-hour battery life. The super-portable One laptop boasts a seven-inch display and weighs in at under 2.2 pounds. But the size isn't the only small thing about the One laptop, so is the pricetag. The one laptop will come at a low cost of just £99 (approximately $195). There will also be an upgraded version of One available with 2GB of Flash storage and Bluetooth planned too, for £120 (approximately $235). The new Everex gBook VA1500V laptop is the company’s newest low-cost laptop to hit the market. Based on a 1.50GHz VIA C7-M processor and VIA Chrome 9 HC integrated graphics, the gBook VA1500V laptop boasts 512MB DDR2 memory, a 60GB hard drive and a DVD/CD-RW Combo optical drive. The g-Book comes with a 15.4-inch display that offers 1,440-by-900-pixel resolution. For connectivity, you get integrated Atheros AR5005G 802.11b/g wireless network adapter, an Ethernet LAN port, three USB ports and a VGA output. New Asus Eee PC 900 Laptop
Unveiled at CeBIT 2008, the new generation of the Asus Eee PC laptop proves that bigger is better with its new, bigger display, bigger RAM and bigger storage capacity. For starters, the new Asus Eee PC 900 laptop will feature an 8.9-inch display; 1GB of RAM, upgraded from 512MB; and awesome SSD storage capacity ranging from 8GB in the XP-equipped model, all the way up to 12GB or 20GB in the Linux model. Additional features included with the Eee PC 900 laptop are Ethernet, 802.11b/g wireless LAN, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, and a card reader compatible with MMC, SD and SDHC. The Titan laptop boasts a 15.4-inch 1,280-by-800-pixel LCD display. Under its hood, the laptop stays true to its name, featuring an Intel Celeron M550 2GHz CPU, 1GB memory, SiS Mirage graphics, 80GB HDD, a DVD burner and a 3-in-1 memory card reader, and allows the options of Windows Vista, Windows XP and Linux operating systems. New Low-Cost Laptop For Kids – OLPC XOXO Laptop
OLPC has revealed a new design for its low-cost XO laptop. Geared towards the primary education market in developing nations, the new OLPC XOXO laptop will be more kid-friendly, and will come at a lower price. The XOXO laptop will be half the size of the original, resembling an e-book with dual sunlight-readable touch-screen displays, eliminating the need for a touchpad or keyboard. Also known as the XO-2 laptop or XO 2.0, the XOXO laptop will feature low power consumption - half of the original laptop, at 1 watt.
